Be ready for an adventure with these DIY ‘That’s How We Roll’ Matching Amusement Park T-Shirts!

Amusement Park Shirts

Summer means adventure season in our family. Growing up, one of our summer traditions was visiting the amusement park that is close to our home. As a kid, we always went at least once a year, and once I was a teenager, I frequently had season passes to the amusement park. My friends and I would spend a big chunk of our summer riding roller coasters.

Once I had my own kids, I started getting them season passes. While I like to boast that I’ve ridden every ride in the park, my kids aren’t the biggest thrill seekers, but we always have a fun adventure out at the park together.

Over the years, it really has become a family gathering destination with my sisters, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and more! This year I thought it would be even more fun if we all had matching amusement park t-shirts to wear.

Something else I know about amusement parks, especially in Texas, is that you will get hot and sweaty. Before heading to the park I knew I needed to run by Walmart to pick up some summer essentials, Dial® products. It’s easy to do away with summer grime and have healthier, cleaner skin this summer with Dial.

For our matching amusement park shirts, I decided to make some iron-on vinyl t-shirts. I started by picking what I wanted my design to look like. I went with a pretty generic amusement park graphic so that we could wear them to multiple parks.

I settled for a fun roller coaster “That’s How We Roll” theme. I created a simple roller coaster graphic and then added the words ‘THAT’S HOW WE ROLL’ underneath the roller coaster. I designed the graphic with my vinyl cutting machine software.

If you’ve never made t-shirts before, the biggest tip is to make sure you mirror your image (especially if you have text). Otherwise, your images and everything will be reversed when you iron them on your shirt.

I like to run the iron over my shirt before applying the vinyl, and then always use a pressing cloth when ironing so the plastic doesn’t stick to your iron.

After a full day at the amusement park, the teenagers know they need to come home and hop in the shower. For them, I picked up a bottle of Dial® Recharge for Men. Teenage boys love the convenience, and with this, they get a body wash and shampoo in one handy bottle. The hydrating formula leaves their skin and hair feeling healthy, so they can keep on being their awesome selves (I really do love having teenagers)! For myself, I prefer Dial® Spring Water Body Wash. It’s like transforming my shower into a fresh spring. The invigorating scents and lightweight hydration leaves skin feeling healthy and keeps me smelling fresh.

Everyone in the house benefits from Dial® Complete Spring Water Foaming Hand Wash. Whether we have just spent the day at the amusement park, or we had a movie day at home with pillow forts, a house with three boys means that someone always finds a way to get dirty. This foaming hand soap kills 99.99% of bacteria found in your home, plus it’s mild enough for frequent use.

Amusement Park Shirts

Our first trip to the amusement park in our matching shirts and we already got attention! Several people we passed commented on the shirts and made jokes to us about how we roll. I got everyone a matching solid color t-shirt and then made the graphic in a different color for each person, trying to let the recipient pick their favorite color as much as possible.

Family time at the amusement park is such a fun way to spend our summer and it’s where some of my favorite memories have happened! I can’t wait for more adventures in our amusement park shirts!

Do you have a SVG file for this? I’d love to use this for our family shirts.
