4 Ways to Eat Cereal For Breakfast

June 20, 2016 by Julie Leave a Comment

I’ve partnered with Tiny Toast cereal to bring you these 4 ways to eat cereal for breakfast, but all opinions are my own #TinyToastCereal @generalmills

4 Ways to Eat Cereal for Breakfast

When it comes to breakfast I have two main requirements: It’s something that can be made quickly and it keeps the kids full until lunch. With my teenage boys home for the summer I’m anxious for them to be more independent when it comes to getting their own breakfast. They love eating cereal for breakfast. With that in mind I came up with 4 Ways to Eat Cereal for Breakfast. And they are all things tweens and teens can make themselves!

#1 – Cereal Parfait Cups

You can make either a blueberry or strawberry cereal parfait, or combine the flavors! Tiny Toast already has real blueberry or strawberry flavor in every piece, so I wanted to continue those flavors throughout the cereal parfait. Start with fresh fruit in the bottom. On top of the fruit layer Tiny Toast cereal (blueberry, strawberry, or a combination) and greek yogurt (blueberry, strawberry, vanilla, whatever flavor combination sounds good to you). Top your cereal parfait with more Tiny Toast cereal.

#2 – Banana Breakfast Bites

These bites consist of a banana, peanut butter, and crushed Tiny Toast cereal.

Because I wanted these to be breakfast ideas the kids can make themselves I put the cereal in a resealable bag and let the kids pulverize it with a rolling pin. You could also put the cereal in a food processor to grind it up. Spread peanut butter all over your peeled banana. Roll the banana in the crushed cereal. Slice the banana and eat the breakfast bites. You could also eat the banana whole. I love this option with a natural crunchy peanut butter as well.

#3 – Grab-and-go bag

Running out the door to a morning appointment? Pour a serving of cereal into a resealable bag and you’ve got breakfast on the go. Youngest Twin is a big fan of this breakfast option year round.

I couldn’t finish the list without the traditional way to eat your breakfast cereal!
