yarn wrapped ear buds

August 9, 2012 by Julie 2 Comments

I’ve been eyeing some of these tutorials for yarn wrapped ear buds for awhile. I like being able to drop a pair in my purse to use when I’m walking around campus, but they always end up tangled. The tutorials I’ve seen for these yarn wrapped ear buds all say they help with the tangling problem, so the project has been sitting in my to-do pile. With school starting in just a couple of weeks it was time to get going.

Originally I planned on doing this friendship bracelet inspired one, but in the end I went for a simpler wrapped DIY.

My supplies, my ear buds and very lightweight (fingering/sock weight) yarn

Then I wrapped (and wrapped and wrapped)

Until they were all covered. In the end I used some superglue to tack the end down and then a small sewing needle to tuck it in

And now they are ready for me to use!

Very nice! Mine are always getting tangled! I never thought of covering them! Found you on the Show and Tell Linky!
