the weekend started well

February 4, 2013 by Julie 1 Comment

On Saturday I painted my nails for the first time in ages. I used two coats of Essie in chinchilly. Then I added some gold glitter near the nail base. It’s subtle, but pretty. And I really like it.

I also went to the store and got some supplies for my next crochet project. That’s a skein of yellow and pink (that has a glittery thread running through it) plus some jewels to stitch on. I can’t wait to show it to you when it’s finished.

Because I didn’t get very far on it. Instead I spent Saturday night and all of Sunday feeling pretty lousy. No major symptoms. Just achy and tired.

We did watch the Superbowl on Sunday but no big party or fabulous things to eat. My Mom did bring me some Sprite. And my husband made me some soup. But mainly I laid on the couch and we watched the game pretty peacefully.

But it seems to have been just a quick 24 hour thing because I’m feeling better this morning. Which is good, because it’s hard to be sick when you’re Mom.

How was your weekend?
