The toddlers first trip to Six Flags

August 6, 2012 by Julie Leave a Comment

My sister and I took all the kids to Six Flags Over Texas on Saturday. It was crazy hot, but the twins had some free tickets that we needed to use before they expired. So we braved the heat, and ended up having a great time.
This was the toddlers first trip to Six Flags, so we started in the kids area with this ride
He loved it. We rode a few more kids area rides and he was all smiles.

Then he spotted the “train” (roller coaster) that is in the kids area and asked to ride it. He’s just barely tall enough to ride with an adult and the twins are too tall. So the toddler rode with his Aunt while the twins and I watched. He was so excited!
And he was still happy when he got off the ride! I think he was a little nervous while they were riding, but no tears and he was excited to go on to the next ride.
Unfortunately because of the age gap between the kids there aren’t a whole lot of rides that we can all ride. And it was so hot that I didn’t want to make the toddler sit in his stroller while he brother rode lots of rides. So we all rode one ride together, the Mini Mine Train, and then the toddler got picked up from the park and the rest of us stayed to ride more rides.
The twins aren’t big roller coaster fans, but there were plenty of other rides we went on. And my sister found a karaoke area where we sat and rested for a little bit while she sang. We did make the twins stand in line with us so she and I could ride the Flashback. It’s one of my favorite roller coasters and they are closing it after this summer. Someday I hope the twins appreciate having a Mom who likes to ride roller coasters!
