Easter wreath

March 21, 2013 by Julie 12 Comments

Can I tell you again how much I love this white wreath that I made? It started out as a Valentine's Day Wreath (here), had a quick transformation into a St. Patrick's Day Wreath (here), and I've just changed things out again to turn it into my Easter wreath. So same white wreath base that I finger knit back in February. For Easter I  have added some plastic Easter eggs and a 'Happy Easter' … [Read more...]

Speckled Plastic Easter Eggs and Faux Grass

March 12, 2013 by Julie Leave a Comment

With spring right around the corner I knew it was time to update my snowy mantel for something more springy. I saw a tutorial recently for 'faux grass'. Good Luck Wreath

February 28, 2013 by Julie 16 Comments

I can't believe that tomorrow is already March! February 19, 2013 by Julie 11 Comments

I've really enjoyed doing several finger knitting projects recently. (Here, here, and here to see a few.) I figured it was time for me to share my own finger knitting tutorial! Finger knitting does take some time, but it doesn't require anything more than your fingers and some yarn. And you don't have to count any stitches. Most of my yarn is worsted weight, so I prefer to use two balls … [Read more...]

Ninja Love

February 14, 2013 by Julie 13 Comments

We're making a little ninja love this Valentine's Day. The twins, especially oldest twin, are really into ninja's recently. So when I found some ninjabread cookie cutters I knew I had to get them. Yesterday afternoon the kids Grandma came and picked them up after school and they got to make some ninja cookies with her. The kids got to help decorate them, and they were all really excited with … [Read more...]
