Slouchy Spiral Crochet Hat Pattern Video

February 11, 2016 by Julie 5 Comments

I have tried to make sure I respond through email to everyone who has left a question about a pattern. I’ve also tried to update the pattern notes section on the different patterns with the most frequently asked questions as well. If I have somehow missed your question about one of the patterns, please leave me another comment. Also, thank you to everyone who has jumped in to help answer questions in the comments!

Last week I shared a video showing how I make the cables for my knit owl hats and gloves. The cables were by far the most asked question about that pattern.

Slouchy Spiral Crochet Hat (Free Pattern)

This week I wanted to go back to the slouchy spiral hat pattern and post a how-to video. I’ve had quite a few people ask about where to place the double crochets. They go into the first space following the fpdc. After you’ve worked the specified number of dc’s in that space you move on to the next fpdc, ignoring any other spaces. (I know, that’s a lot of jargon for any non-crocheters reading today.)

Here’s a video of me working on rounds 2-4.

Any other Slouchy Spiral Crochet Hat Pattern questions? Let me know in the comments!

Watching a video is almost as good as having an expert sitting beside you, this is really helpful, thanks.

What type of yarn do you use for this pattern. I do not see the yarn listed in the materials needed on the pattern I down loaded.
