origami and crochet hearts

February 9, 2012 by Julie 4 Comments

This is my submission for the Etsy817 team February craft-along. The theme was conversation hearts.

I was perusing Pinterest when I saw some beautiful origami paper hearts. I thought “wouldn’t those look pretty with a scallop border.” And I think they do.

Here are my supplies. A 12×12 sheet of paper, hole punch, crochet hook, yarn, and marker

I found the directions on how to fold the hearts here

After folding the hearts I punched holes around the edge

Then I crocheted around the edge and made a scallop border

And my finished heart

    Hi Julie,
You are the cutest! I have to tell you I love peeking at your blog each day. I would like to be a fly on your wall and see how you do all these fun things and take care of three little guys and go to school. You amaze me. Thanks for sharing your fun ideas.
    Love,
    Robynn, aka Sky’s Mom
