My Birthday Week(end)

February 25, 2013 by Julie Leave a Comment

Because my birthday fell on a Wednesday this year, our busiest night of week, we spread out the celebrating over several days.

I got flowers and my favorite candy bars

A lunch date at a new restaurant

And two rounds of birthday cake. Plus some beautiful notes and gifts from friends and family. Thanks to everyone for all the birthday wishes.

The kids got some ‘gifts’ from me as well last week. The pink hedgehog I made was a big hit. Which meant that each boy needed his own. Oldest still has the pink one, Youngest Twin picked a glittery brown yarn for the body of his hedgehog, and Littlest Brother got a slightly larger blue hedgehog. (I used a thicker yarn and played around with stuffing it more. Not sure which way I like better.)

They all have been carrying their ‘hedgies’ around with them all over the place.

I always like being able to make them things that they really like!

I think it is wonderful that you are able to make things for them to play with/use. I’m thinking of doing a homemade Christmas this year, so we might have to talk. 🙂
