There are just some snacks that are synonymous with summer. From camping or glamping, to picnics and road trips, you really can’t go wrong with some M&M’s® Trail Mix.

I started with a base of mixed nuts. Then I added both M&M’s® Original and M&M’s® Peanut. I always like some kind of dried fruit in my trail mix, and this time I went with dried cranberries. And finally I added some butterscotch chips.

I picked up an XXL bag of M&M’s® Original and a bag of M&M’s® Peanut at Sam’s Club. These bigger XXL bags are available in three varieties: M&M’s® Original, M&M’s® Crispy, & M&M’s® Peanut. With plenty of summer activities still to happen and fun outings with friends I wanted to make sure I had enough to make several batches of trail mix.

Depending on where you are taking your trail mix you can dress up what you’re taking it in. For a picnic or road trip it could go in a brown paper bag. I tied this on up with some nautical rope and added a piece of fabric tape.

If glamping is more your style you could fill a few mason jars with your M&M’s® Trail Mix Recipe. I used a different roll of fabric tape to go around the lid of my mason jars.

Any hikers? Dress up a plastic bag with a piece of patterned tape and your name written on it. Also a good way to keep track of which bag is yours if you are with a group. When we go camping I fill the gallon sized plastic bags with trail mix to take with us. That also lets me toss them in the cooler if I need to.

What are your summer plans? How would you use the XXL big bag of M&M’s®?

Trail mixes are our ‘go-to’ snack when traveling. I love how you packaged them different ways depending on the activity! #client

I don’t know why I never thought to make this myself! So simple and I can make sure I only add the nuts I like:)
