light saber freezer pop holders

June 12, 2012 by Julie Leave a Comment

The kids all love eating freezer pops. But the twins always complain about their hands being cold. For a while now they have worn oven mitts to keep their hands comfy.

Starting last summer I saw people making these fleece freezer pop holders. However, I am not a sewer and kept putting it off. Yesterday, the kids and I finally made some.

I pulled out a bunch of fabric and let them cut out their designs. Oldest twin got pretty elaborate with his (his is the one on the left). It’s two layers thick instead of just one. The blue at the top is the inside layer that is folded down and stitched across.

I think they look really cool. (Youngest twin picked the freezer pop colors for the picture.)
