Hedwig hat

January 22, 2013 by Julie 17 Comments

My sister-in-law found this Hedwig shirt and knew it would be something my family would love. We’re pretty big Harry Potter fans around here. (Hedwig is Harry Potter’s owl.)

This week when I had someone who was in need of a baby gift for a Harry Potter fan I knew just what to tell them. One of my owl hats of course!

A baby blue “Hedwig” owl hat.

And here’s an adult version in the blue as well

So now you know what to get as a baby gift for the Harry Potter fan in your life, too!

Newborn “Hediwg” owl hats can be ordered in the color of your choice and are available here

    Size 5 needles–is this American, Canadian or metric size? Metric size 5 = American 8; Metric 3 3/4 = American 5
Am I correct in assuming this could be knitted on circular needles?
My granddaughters are clamouring for this hat; and I’ve never done cables before, although it doesn’t look too difficult.
