glitter monogram pumpkin

October 25, 2012 by Julie 4 Comments

I love fall. And I am happily letting pumpkins, in all varieties, take over my house.

I have been drinking lots of pumpkin hot chocolate.

I even bought the kids pumpkin pie Pop Tarts.

And last weekend I went to a Fabu Fall Pinterest Brunch (what an awesome name, right?) where I made this glitter monogram pumpkin.

I started by spray painting my pumpkin black. Then using a stencil I painted mod podge on my pumpkin. Then I sprinkled on the glitter.

You can see that the glitter didn’t all stay in the lines, but that’s what glitter does.

This pumpkin is sitting on a glass cake stand and serving as the centerpiece for my kitchen table.

I won the September “Upcycle This” craft challenge! Thanks to everyone who voted!
