Eco Fest

September 24, 2012 by Julie 1 Comment

For the past few years our city has hosted an event called Eco Fest. It’s a fun event with lots of vendors, food, and music.

There was a hydration station where you could get lots of cold water, which was good because it was hot outside. And they had these cool recyclable cups for people to use.

This was keep Arlington beautiful table, I got a package of bluebonnet seeds

The Blackland Prairie Raptor Center was there with some hawks and this tiny owl. The guy told us this species reaches its full grown size after only 6 weeks.

The twins really liked the tiny owl.

There was a petting zoo area where the kids got to pet chickens, pigs, goats, and a tortoise. Of course I was busy keeping an eye on the toddler and didn’t get any pictures.
There was also a spot where you could get a free tree. This was our last visit of the day. We got a bald cyprus tree.
And we already have it planted in our backyard
