Bring Lavender’s calming scent to your home with a DIY Lavender Wreath
Have you ever dreamed of walking through a field of lavender? I never had been able to do that until I loved to Portland. There are bunches of it all over the area, and you can buy all kinds of lavender goodies at the farmers market.
I’m bringing that calming lavender feeling inside all year long with this DIY wreath.
DIY Lavender Wreath
Supplies
- Grapevine wreath
- Lavender garland
- Lavender stems
- Zip ties
- Hot glue
I’m using two different types of lavender flowers for my wreath gave it a wider ranger of hues and texture.
My first step was attaching the garland to the grapevine wreath vase. I did that using green zip ties so they would blend in with the flowers. I tightened the zip ties and then snipped off the long ends.
Once the garland was attached I was ready to add on all the lavender stems. The bouquet of lavender stems was longer than I wanted to use so I used some wire cutters to trim them.
Then I used hot glue to add the floral stems to the wreath. I put hot glue on the end of the stem and then pushed it into the wreath base to secure it.
My wreath is ready to hang in my house!
