This holiday season wrap your gifts up in style! DIY Wrapping Paper
Picking out the perfect gift is tough. Once I’ve found, or made, the perfect gift, I really want it to shine. Even after I wrap it. That’s why this year I’m making some fun DIY wrapping paper, using just a few basic supplies.
It’s so easy to make your own DIY wrapping paper with plain black, brown, or white craft paper as well as some FriXion® and G2® Pens by Pilot Pen.

I went three themes for my wrapping paper: holiday lights, Christmas trees, and wrapped packages. I’m not an artist, but these were simple enough for me! And it’s a great project for the kids to help with as well. Plus, when you use a FriXion® pen you get the freedom to create fearlessly. The erasable FriXion® pens write smoothly and erase cleanly.
For my white craft paper I decided to make a string of Christmas lights. I drew a swirly line for the lights and then painted on the light bulbs with some shimmery paints and cotton swabs.
The kids and I dipped the cotton swab into the paint and stamped the colors along the black line we had drawn.
On the brown craft paper we created a winter wonderland with a variety of stick Christmas trees. We used three different pen colors and drew trees as well as some snowflakes. We created our own winter wonderland wrapping paper!
We saved the metallic colors from our box of G2® Pens by Pilot Pen for our black wrapping paper. Not only do G2 pens come in four-point sizes and multiple barrel styles with an extra comfortable grip and smooth gliding ink, but they also come in 27 bright and vibrant colors. The metallic colors showed up so beautifully on the dark wrapping paper! My favorite was the silver pen on the black and we drew dozens of gift boxes.
Pilot Pens will help you make the most out of the holiday season from keeping organized, writing holiday cards or gift tags to fun letters to Santa. I don’t know about you, but I have a few pen lovers in my family and they also make great gifts!
With all of our DIY Wrapping paper finished we could start wrapping our gifts.
One of the handmade gifts I’ve been working on are some personalized DIY ornaments. It was easy turning some of my DIY wrapping paper into a homemade gift bag the perfect size for my ornament. Now I can’t wait to take it to the ornament gift exchange party!
I love that it will be easy to spot my gifts under the tree, and no one else will have wrapping paper just like mine.
Pick up some FriXion® and G2® Pens by Pilot Pen at Walmart and start your holiday crafting! What will you draw on your DIY Wrapping Paper?
