Fall is officially here and so is craft show season. Last Saturday was the MADE Pop-Up Bazaar and my first craft show of the season. This craft show was near and dear to my heart because I was one of the co-organizers.
There was a little bit of stress as vendors were setting up. The sky was cloudy and intermittently raining on us. Nothing too heavy or too long, but it did remind me that outdoor craft shows are not for the feint of heart.
This was an all handmade craft show and we were so happy to have some amazing local indie makers participate as vendors this year. I’m consistently blown away by the talent at our craft shows. Stephanie not only sews or stitches all of the cute bags and plushies on her table, but also designs the fabric. Seriously.
You know my thing for owls. I had my eye on that cutie on the left.
Now that my husband has finished up his enlistment with the National Guard he’s sort of given up shaving. Having to have a military haircut for 12 years will do that to you. So I’m eyeing a beard comb for him for Christmas.
And delicious hand dyed and hand spun yarn. Because yarn.
Staying in touch with vendors the day of the show is always a major priority. Even more so when the weather is being ominous. In my back pocket all morning was the LG Leon LTE from Walmart Family Mobile. Their phone service continues to knock my socks off. Walmart Family Mobile service is just $29.88 a month (for the first line). And that includes unlimited talk, text and data with up to 1G of 4G LTE data. A phone bill that is the same every single month. And right now you can snag the Alcatel One Touch Pop Astro for just $64.88.
Of course vendors aren’t the only ones I’m trying to stay in touch with during a craft show. The majority of the phone calls and texts this past Saturday were from my teenagers. I also got texts from family and friends who were on their way to see the show.
Now it’s back to more knitting, crocheting, and cross-stitching to gear up for the rest of the fall. Bonus, saving on my cell phone bill each month means I can buy more craft supplies.
How will you use your savings after switching to Walmart Family Mobile this Fall? I’d love to hear about your plans!
