The weather outside might be sunny, but spring break is still a little early for pool or lake time in Dallas/Fort Worth. But if your kids are like mine, for spring break they want to be in the water. Luckily, we can visit Epic Waters in Grand Prairie for indoor water fun!
Spring Break at Epic Waters
Epic Waters is a resort-quality indoor waterpark that is located in Grand Prairie, TX, right in the heart of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. It’s the largest waterpark under a single retractable roof in North America and the largest indoor waterpark in Texas.
A couple weeks ago I took Littlest and his best friend to check out the fun and get planning for spring break!
The first place the kids wanted to check out were the slides!
The signature slides include
- LassoLoop: A “free fall” AquaLoop slide that is the tallest of its kind in the nation, standing 70 ft. high.
- YellowJacket Drop: The industry’s first indoor combination of the Boomerango (“weightless”-drop inner tube waterslide) and Constrictor (winding coil inner tube waterslide), noted for a thrilling “zero gravity” drop.
- Aquanaut: A first-of-its-kind, 90-degree, twist-and-turn enclosed slide, standing 41 ft. at its tallest point, enjoyed two riders at a time.
I vividly remember being in middle school and wanting to head to the lake with my best friend. I’m pretty sure her parents tried to warn us that the water would be too cold, but of course we didn’t listen. They took us to the lake and we were freezing trying to water ski. No need to freeze at Epic waters, they have a FlowRider® where the kids were able to go Boogie Boarding. Littlest did great for his first time, and the employees were so helpful! He didn’t even wipe out.
The not-so-lazy river at Epic Waters is the longest indoor lazy river in Texas. Plus it features a periodic wave surge that adds a layer of excitement to your float.
Kids can also enjoy the play area which features an aquatic fort equipped with geysers, slides, and a 300-gallon tipping bucket.
Parents can also enjoy Free parking with courtesy trolley and complimentary Wi-Fi.
It’s going to be a splashtastic Spring Break at Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark, where you’ll find 80,000 square feet of weatherproof family fun!
