Family Friendly Holiday Mocktails

December 23, 2019 by Julie 2 Comments

I’ve partnered with DASANI to bring you these sparkling family friendly holiday mocktails, but all opinions are my own! #SparklingHolidays

Family Friendly Holiday Mocktails

The holidays are all about family, from Thanksgiving through New Years Eve. We spend the holidays with kids, grandparents, everyone gathered together. We’re big on board games and of course there is plenty of food. But for the big holidays we also need something sparkly to toast with especially for Christmas and New Years Eve. I’ve come up with a couple new mocktails that I plan to wow everyone with this year!

Evergreen Winter Berry Mocktail

A cold winter night needs a cold minty drink. A few fresh mint leaves go in first. To keep these kid friendly I went with plastic champagne flutes from the party store. Since these are mocktails and the kids will be drinking them, I didn’t want anything breakable. After the mint leaves I poured in some DASANI Sparkling Lime. I filled the glass about halfway full with the sparkling lime water and then let it sit while I worked on the rest of the ingredients.

Sugared blueberries look nice and frosty in the mocktail. To get them sugar coated I first dropped the blueberries in a bowl of whisked egg whites. Then they went into a bowl of sugar to get coated. Once they were covered in sugar I laid them on a plastic cutting board to dry. Finally I slid three blueberries at a time on a toothpick to add to my winter mocktail.

I also finely sliced a lime and added a slice to eat drink as well. It adds to the evergreen look of the drink. Before you add the rest of the garnish fill up the glass almost to the top with some ginger ale. Then add the lime slices and blueberries. I played with placing the blueberries in the drink and laying the toothpick across the top to serve. I love how it looks both ways.

DASANI Sparkling Water is available at Walmart in a 12 pack of 12 oz cans. With zero calories, zero artificial colors, and unsweetened they are perfect for adding some sparkle to the holidays.

Cotton Candy Mocktails

In addition to my evergreen winter berry mocktail, I also wanted to create a drink I knew the kids would flip for. One that starts with cotton candy is destined to be a crowd pleaser. I filled the champagne flutes to the top with pink cotton candy. You can have these set out ahead of time to really amp up excitement for the drinks. When it’s time to serve fill the glass halfway with DASANI Sparkling Berry and then fill the rest of the way with Sprite.

Once the champagne flutes were filled I added a piece of licorice to serve as a stirring stick. This is a candy mocktail after all.

I used the DASANI Sparkling Lime and Berry for my drinks, but they also come in Lemon and Black Cherry.

Now that I’ve got our family friendly holiday Mocktails all planned out it’s almost time to start the party. The party crackers are ready to pop!
