It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas when you’re wrapped up in this Snowman Scarf Knit Pattern
There might not be snow on the ground, but I can make all the snowmen I want as long as I knit them.
My youngest is a little upset that it’s December and we don’t have snow. Someday he will catch on that we live in Texas and snow happens intermittently. But I’ve improvised a little by taking him to events with snow from a snowhill at Six Flags over Texas to faux snow falling from the sky in the Christmas light maze at Enchant.
Last year I started the knit snowman set with a snowman hat. It might have taken several months but I’m really excited to have finished the set with a scarf. (There is also a fingerless gloves knit snowman pattern.)
The scarf starts with a ribbed bottom, then a band of snowmen, the middle section is stockinette stitch, then another band of snowmen, and more ribbing. When you lay the scarf flat the heads of the snowmen face each other, both pointed towards the middle of the scarf. That way when you wrap the scarf around your neck all of the snowmen stay facing up. We wouldn’t want any upside down snowmen!

Pattern notes
Scarf can be made as long as desired and yardage will vary accordingly. Plan for at least 4 skeins.
C4B – means to move 2 stitches to the cable needle, hold the work in back, knit 2 stitches, then knit the 2 stitches on the cable needle. This is a cable worked over a total of 4 stitches.
C4F – similar to C4B, but hold the cable need in front.
Complete the snowman set with a matching knit snowman hat and knit snowman gloves
