Marshmallow Bunnies

April 1, 2014 by Julie 4 Comments

I saw Marshmallow Bunnies over at Spoonful and thought it would be a fun activity to do with the kids. Here's what I used... Scissors Towel A bowl with water A small bowl with food coloring and a wooden skewer. Plus, of course, the marshmallows. (I used the GIANT sized for our bunnies.) I'll be honest that the directions were a little more confusing that I anticipated. But we just kind of … [Read more...]

Spring mason jars {and a free printable}

March 26, 2014 by Julie 6 Comments

I like repetition. I eat the same thing for breakfast almost everyday. It keeps my stomach happy. I love that I have had the same wreath base for over a year now.  Instead of getting tired of it, I find myself excited to change it up every few weeks or months as the seasons change. And I am having a blast with these mason jars, yarn pom-poms, and simple printables. It started with Valentine's … [Read more...]

Spring Wreath

March 18, 2014 by Julie 2 Comments

Spring officially/technically arrives this Thursday the 20th. And since St. Patricks day is now over, I decided to do a very quick turnaround from my shamrock good luck wreath (here). This welcome spring wreath still uses the same white wreath base (you can see my finger knitting tutorial here). This time I just took of the two shamrocks and added on three small crochet flowers. The flowers … [Read more...]

Speckled Egg Welcome Wreath

April 9, 2013 by Julie 10 Comments

I love to do crafts on the cheap. Take objects I already have and turn them into something new. This craft perfectly fits that idea. Currently my Mom still has the pretty shabby chic wreath I made her for Valentine's Day hanging up (here). And while it still looks great I wanted to make her something a little more spring-y. She seemed to like the spring wreath I had made for myself (here) as … [Read more...]

Simple Spring Welcome Wreath

April 4, 2013 by Julie 4 Comments

I had intended to show you the project I am making for my Mom today. But it's not done yet. So instead you get to see the easiest turn-around for my wreath so far. To recap, I have used the same white finger knit base to make a Love wreath (here), changed it to a Good Luck wreath (here), and then changed it again to an Easter wreath (here). Now Easter is over but it's just barely spring. So I … [Read more...]
