The kids wanted to give Pokemon Valentine’s Day cards to their friends, but of course I couldn’t find any at the store. So we made some!
Oldest twin loves Pikachu. Well, they both do, but oldest twin talks about it more. So I started by searching for Pikachu cards. I found two that gave me some inspiration. I ended up going with a simple coloring page that I found. I printed out 9 to a page (similar size to store bought cards). I had oldest twin color them and cut them out. Then we glued them onto bright yellow cardstock.
Youngest twin also likes Pikachu but didn’t want the same card as his brother. So I went with just a Pokemon theme for his card. I found another coloring page that had Ash plus several Pokemon on it. I also printed out 9 to a page for him to color. We cut them out and glued them onto red construction paper. Adding additional white and yellow pieces of construction paper to the back we made the back of the cards look like a pokeball. (The red and white balls that hold the Pokemon.)
And as a little treat for my own kids I made them each an origami Pikachu for them to find this morning.
