I am very solidly a cat person. I got my very first cat when I was in high school. He was a black and white cat named Hunter. Other than a few months when my husband and I first got married, I’ve had at least one cat ever since.

Our cats do a lot for us. When my husband was deployed to Iraq our cats would come and sleep with me in bed every night to keep me company. They’d lounge with me on the couch while I watched TV and then when it was bedtime they followed me upstairs. Even now they move around during the night taking turns in various beds.
